1. Using this service

Please read these terms before submitting an enquiry, creating an account or using the staff portal. Use the service only for lawful catalogue enquiries and authorised business work. Anyone acting for a business must have authority to do so. Account holders must be at least 18 years old.

The Privacy Policy explains personal information handling; it is not permission for unrelated uses of your information. Nothing on this page transfers ownership of content or overrides rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Our name, logo and website content

SHUBH LAM is our registered brand name. The name and our distinctive logo identify our business. We reserve the rights and goodwill we hold in this branding and in our original website text, photographs, artwork, layout and catalogue presentation. Registration rights are subject to the scope of the registration and applicable law.

Unauthorised use of the SHUBH LAM name or our logo as branding for another business, goods, services, website, social media account, advertisement, invoice or payment request is prohibited. Obtain our prior written permission before such use, unless specifically permitted by law. Do not use identical or confusingly similar branding to impersonate us, falsely claim a connection or endorsement, or collect money under our identity.

Do not copy or adapt our original content for commercial republication without the relevant rights holder’s permission, except where the law permits. Supplier names, logos, product designs and catalogue content remain with their respective rights holders. These terms do not remove lawful rights to identify genuine products, review or report, or create exclusive rights in common words or religious symbols.

3. Permitted catalogue use

You may browse the website, share a link to it, and use available catalogue downloads to consider products or discuss a genuine purchase with your customer or project team, subject to the supplier’s stated rights and restrictions. Keep credits, copyright notices, branding, specifications and safety instructions intact.

Unless you have the relevant rights holder’s permission or a legal exception applies, do not rebrand catalogues, remove attribution, sell their content, reproduce them in another commercial catalogue or present them as your own. Public availability does not grant an unrestricted reuse licence. Lawful fair dealing, honest reviews, reporting, accessibility uses and other statutory exceptions remain available.

4. Catalogues and product information

Catalogues help you explore finishes and discuss a purchase. Screen colours, photographs and printed illustrations may differ from the actual material. Check a physical sample and confirm specifications, stock and suitability with our team before ordering.

5. Enquiries, quotations and offers

Submitting an enquiry does not place or confirm an order. Prices, taxes, quantities, payment, delivery, returns and any applicable manufacturer warranty must be confirmed in the quotation or order terms agreed with our team. An offer is subject to its stated dates, eligibility and availability.

These website terms do not replace an agreed order or remove any rights you have under applicable law.

Confirm unusual payment instructions or claims of affiliation directly using our published business number. A catalogue logo or screenshot alone does not prove that a person is authorised to act for us.

6. Staff and admin accounts

The staff portal is for authorised business use. Creating an account does not automatically give access; your email and role must be approved. Use your own account, provide accurate details and keep your password private. Tell Shubh Lam if you suspect someone else is using your account.

Admin access is assigned by the business. Access may be restricted when authorisation ends or an account is misused.

Admins must give access only to people who need it, remove access when a person leaves or changes role, and handle information under the Privacy Policy. An admin role is not permission to misuse personal information.

7. Visit records and location

Enter truthful details while at the meeting place. The app requires a fresh phone location reading before submission and records the coordinates, reported accuracy and time. Do not falsify records or manipulate location readings. A phone’s location is an estimate and is not, on its own, proof that a meeting occurred.

Staff can view their own submitted visits and reports, but cannot edit or delete them or view another employee’s records. If you make a mistake, contact your admin or Shubh Lam so the record can be reviewed. Read the Privacy Policy for access and retention details.

8. Photos and other people’s details

Each new staff or admin visit requires a photo of the shop or meeting place. Profile photos are optional. Only upload relevant photos you have permission to use. Obtain permission before photographing people or private premises. Record only the business contact details needed for the visit or follow-up; avoid identity documents, payment details and unrelated personal information.

You allow Shubh Lam to store and use submitted details and photos for the work purposes described in the Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your photos.

Tell the person whose business contact details you enter who is collecting them and why, and obtain any permission required by law. Uploading a photo does not authorise its use in public advertising.

9. Misuse, impersonation and confidential records

Do not create fake SHUBH LAM accounts, websites, social pages, advertisements, invoices or payment requests; impersonate our staff or a supplier; falsely claim a dealership; or alter product information to mislead a buyer.

Do not bypass access controls, access another person’s records, upload malware or unlawful content, disrupt the service, harvest contact details for spam, or falsify visits, photos, outcomes or location readings.

Staff and admins may use customer details, visit locations, photos and exported Excel or CSV reports only for authorised work. Keep exports secure; do not publish, sell or send them to unauthorised people. Remove work copies when no longer needed, subject to applicable record-keeping duties.

10. External services and availability

WhatsApp, maps and other external services have their own terms and privacy practices. Internet access is needed, and phone permissions may affect staff features. Outages and device errors can occur; contact our team if the website is unavailable. Installing the website on a phone does not guarantee offline access.

11. Reporting misuse and available action

If you believe material infringes your rights, or notice a fake account, misleading payment request or unauthorised disclosure, contact us below with the relevant link, supporting details and a way to reply. We will review good-faith reports and may ask for information needed to assess them. Reporting does not automatically establish wrongdoing.

Where justified, we may restrict access, remove content, request correction or takedown, and seek remedies available under applicable law, including an injunction or compensation where legally supported. Serious suspected unlawful activity may be referred to the relevant authority. These terms do not impose automatic fines or guarantee a legal outcome.

12. Responsibility and your legal rights

We aim to keep information accurate and the service available, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation or that a screen image exactly matches a product. Please report errors so we can review them. Product selection, technical suitability and installation should be checked against the actual sample and the manufacturer’s instructions.

Any limitation of responsibility applies only to the extent permitted by law. These terms do not exclude responsibility for fraud, misleading representations, negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or remove applicable consumer, product liability, warranty or data protection rights. You remain responsible, as provided by law, for your own unlawful use.

13. Applicable law and disputes

Indian law applies. You may contact us first to try to resolve a concern, but doing so is not a condition for using a statutory complaint or legal remedy. Courts with lawful jurisdiction in Chennai may hear disputes, subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules and your right to approach a competent consumer commission, regulator or other authority.

If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. English, Tamil and Hindi versions are provided for understanding; a translation difference does not reduce statutory rights. Contact us if wording is unclear.

14. Updates and contact

We may update these terms and will show the revised date here. Changes apply prospectively and do not retrospectively change an agreed order.
